I coach women and folks looking to improve their health and movement for the long game.
I make alignment and strength trainning simple and easy to approach without a side of diet culture so that you are concurrently healing your relationship with your body.
One thing so many of my clients have in common when we first meet:
They think that their bodies are a problem that needs to be fixed.
Some have tried intense diets and workout routines that have not been effective. Others struggle to understand why their bodies have changed so much over the decades.
Additionally, some people are in pain and have attempted every modality available yet still aren’t making progress, feeling as though every session of manual therapy (I.e., massage, chiropractic adjustment) is just like Groundhog Day and inevitably flares up again.
All these incredible individuals have lives and responsibilities, but finding a movement and alignment regimen that fits their schedule can feel overwhelming, especially if they can’t attend a studio class, go to the gym two to three times a week, or are always chasing weight loss.
As someone who diet cycled for years and also had cyclical pain, I understand some of these frustrations.
I thought that:
Workouts had to be intense and burn many calories to be effective.
Gaining weight was the worst thing I could do for myself.
I had to keep paying for therapies that would alleviate my neck and upper back pain intermittently, but I was missing the boat on the actual culprit of my pain.
In short, I want you to succeed in finding strength in movement and joy in living your version of health, which will differ from what social media tells you.

Laura Thomas Fitness Coaching & Business Philosophy
Everyone can pursue their best version in a supportive and professional environment.
I have done and continue to do anti-racism work.
I believe abortion is healthcare, and Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA lives matter.
I am a trauma-informed coach through CULTIVATE, a trauma-informed space-holding certification program. This does not mean I dig, address, or heal trauma. It means I understand the complexities of trauma and have the skills to ensure I am attuned to my clients and myself so that I practice within my scope and integrity.
I value connection and communication with my clients. I take a human-first approach and get to know my clients beyond their physical goals, honoring their consent and personal boundaries.
I do not judge anyone’s capabilities based on age, race, body type, sexuality, or other personal identities.
I do not believe every workout must involve muscle soreness or sweat to be effective. Movement should never be painful or triggering.
I admit that I may not have all the answers regarding health, but I am always willing to go the extra mile to get information for my clients from my wellness circle partners (with permission to share their inquiries). I will refer out if something is beyond my scope of practice.
Movement/fitness is not a substitute for counseling. I will suggest therapy if you may hurt yourself or someone else.
